Waste Collection 

Biowaste  

In France, since 01/01/2024, professionals and private individuals have been required to sort their biowaste, with no minimum threshold. 
These collections can be organized in several ways: 
 - with a skip system where a full-empty exchange takes place at each collection; 
- by depositing a pallet box in the premises and/or neighborhood to be emptied once a week; 
 - by collecting garbage cans or emptying users' bins into a larger container.  

There are several ways of handling biowaste. It can be the subject of a separate activity (collection, composting, sale) or a complementary one (collection only, then passed on to a biowaste treatment specialist).

Green waste

Gardening and landscaping activities raise the question of green waste. Similar to bio-waste, it is often a one-off item, but in large quantities.

It is quite possible to carry out this collection by bicycle, as many landscapers do by bicycle (for example : Jardin Nature). 

The most suitable solution is once again pallet boxe. Thanks to Lift&Go technology, it's possible to place the body as close as possible to your work site (garden, yard, public space) and load it to its full volume (typically 600L).  

A sustainable approach to waste management 

Plastics and cardboards

The collection of cardboard boxes is of particular interest to local authorities and communities with a high level of commercial activity in town centers. In most towns, retailers deposit their cardboard boxes in dedicated areas, which are then collected by the town's services. Time and access constraints, as well as traffic jams, can easily lead to inefficiencies and high costs. Bicycles offer greater agility, enabling more regular collection rounds, thus ensuring the city's cleanliness and retailers' satisfaction.  

The same is true for plastics, which are becoming an issue for cities as part of their commitment to sustainability. 

Pallets 

Shops get their goods delivered on pallets, but most don't know what to do with them. Often collected by the carriers, they are sometimes left with the retailers.

With this in mind, the Lift range enables pallets to be lifted and delivered by bike, and also offers the possibility of collecting empty pallets.

Cyclelogistics operators often include pallet unloading in their offers to retailers in the center, so that they can leave with the empty pallet directly.

Wheeled boxes and other

Some operators include in their business model the collection of garbage cans, of various sizes, for city services (canteens, establishments) but also in the private sector (hotels, restaurants). These garbage cans, whether containing biowaste or mixed waste, can be transported with the Runner or the Lift Flatbed.
