As cycle and motorcycle technician since 2001, Bertrand decided to set up his own business in April 2021. Freed from salaried employment, he filled his address book and quickly became profitable with Berti Cycles.
Self-financed, he managed to turn a profit in his first year, and this year opened his own premises in Rouen. Living 20 km from the city, and seeing his business grow, he felt the need for a place to store his equipment and receive his customers.
With a 50/50 mix of private and professional customers, he uses his expertise and skills, all by bike, to operate efficiently and, above all, ecologically. Bertrand is an enthusiast who works with fleets of bikes provided by companies for their employees, as well as the bikes of cruise ships that ply the Seine, and the fleets of French manufacturers.
Without advertising, his schedule is full! Which just goes to show the growing need for cycle maintenance - and therefore the slow but sure evolution of practices towards gentler modes of daily transport - and underlines the quality of the work carried out.
Equipped with a Douze Cycles cargo bike and a BicyLift bike trailer, Bertrand has a portable workshop that he takes to his worksites, enabling him to carry more equipment (wheels, inner tubes, etc.). The WorkBox also serves as a work surface, storage space and communication medium when he's on the move. Flexible, modular equipment that delights its owner.
